2022 NHRL Truck Series Starts This Week
Sunday, January 23, 2022
lepage71 - The league is excited to launch 2022 with a jam packed three-race weekend. Along with two Signature Events, the Shoortie Shootout and NHRL 24 @ DAYTONA, the NHRL Truck Series will also return to action this week. That's right, it's time for the NHRLTS mod! As expected, the series will remain on Saturday nights, a recent shift that began last year with the NHRL Busch Series. Therefore both NHRL and ARL will often race back-to-back on evenings. Overall, the Truck Series will stretch from January 29 to April 16, consisting of 12 races across our traditionally diverse rota of courses. The schedule includes a bunch of unique facets like Indianapolis RC, a return to the Sonoma 2012 version, and the first-ever 8-4-1 title finale at MP Pocono. The Trucks will also enter its second season with doubleheader races. We plan to host several such nights per series in 2022. As always, we anticipate plenty of interesting storylines. For this reason and more, the series won't be one to miss. So don't delay: visit the forum and sign up today! Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

Speedyman11, lepage71 Share Glory in Trucks
Saturday, July 17, 2021
lepage71 - We have another split title decision! In a dramatic and unpredictable 2021 NHRL Truck Series, Speedyman11 captured the Overall Championship with consistent swiftness, while lepage71 took the 8-4-1 Title Chase in a thrilling playoff finale and showdown with him at Dover Downs. Here was the breakdown. In the Overall Championship, Speedy claimed a series-topping 8 wins and 423 laps led, jumping to a big lead early. Meanwhile, lepage71 (2 victories), CR49 (1 victory), and Grumpy (8 top-5s) completed the top four. BlackKnight would come home a distant fifth. In the 8-4-1 Title Chase, the same four drivers comprised the Final Four, with the Grumpster making his first appearance in the coveted championship group. The decisive moment in the finale came early on when lepage avoided a spinning Speedy on the first green flag pit stop. He then cruised to an uncontested victory during rest of the way at Dover Downs. In the end, what a series! It's going to be a long 12 months of waiting until we all get another go-round with Trucks! Friday, January 1, 2021
lepage71 - Well, that's a wrap! Without doubt, 2020 was a difficult one for many, but it turned out to be banner year for the league. Great competition, titles that went down to the wire, and the addition of the groundbreaking 8-4-1 Title Chase all combined to produce a remarkable season. The league is thrilled to jump right into 2021 with an old favorite. That's right, it's time for the NHRL Truck Series! As expected, the series will remain on Friday nights, as was the case for every series during the 2020 season. Overall, the Truck Series will span from January 10 to March 26, consisting of 12 races across our traditionally diverse rotation of courses. New Championship System Somehow Exceeds Hype
Thursday, May 14, 2020
lepage71 - We have our first-ever series co-champions! Entering 2020, the league introduced a split-championship format, comprising both the old Overall Standings and the new 8-4-1 Title Chase. As a result, the year's initial series, the historic 2020 NHRL Truck Series, also marked a groundbreaking moment, becoming the first in a decade to incorporate a playoff elimination. We could not have written a better script. In a tale of two champions, Speedyman11 won the Overall Standings with hallmark consistency, while d3efan captured the inaugural 8-4-1 Title Chase playoff in a dramatic championship finale at Charlotte. Speedy had a strong overall campaign, with a series-leading 7 wins, 7 poles, and 535 laps led, along with a lead-tying 10 top-5s. The other drivers to earn victories were runner-up lepage71 (2) and a resurgent Rookiesrock (3) in third. Bandit, in fourth place, almost won his first major-series race at Eldora, but few doubt it will come sooner rather than later. In the 8-4-1 Title Chase, 8 drivers made the cut after 8 races to form the Elite Eight, and the group narrowed to 4 drivers after 11 races to form the Final Four. Speedy, lepage, Bandit, and d3efan would qualify. The stage was then set for an epic showdown at Charlotte. All four drivers led the race at various stages in the finale. Over time, Bandit slowly fell back, while both Speedy and lepage spun during pit sequences. Meanwhile, d3efan was a case study in fortitude, and he seized the proverbial moment when it mattered most, drafting with the eventual race winner (Rookiesrock) to catch a fuel-saving Speedy on the last lap. The late reversal, symbolic of the volatility of the system, was grand theatre. You could also have lost a big-time bet that the 8-4-1 Title Chase champion would also have been the race winner at Charlotte. We just can't wait to see what happens next in Cup. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

2020 Truck Series Heralds Third League Decade
Thursday, January 2, 2020
lepage71 - A new year is upon us and that means a fresh season of racing will be starting shortly. That's right, it's time for trucks! The NASCAR Heat Racing League is thrilled to release the schedule and open registrations for the 2020 NHRL Truck Series season. As expected, the trucks will remain on Friday nights at 9:00 PM ET, as was the case for every series during the 2019 season. In total, the series will stretch from January 10 to April 3, comprising 12 events across our customarily diverse rotation of courses. It will also feature our first-ever supplemental 8-4-1 dual title chase (more details soon). lepage71 Captures 2019 NHRL Truck Series Championship
Saturday, May 11, 2019
lepage71 - Another great Truck Series season has entered the NASCAR Heat Racing League record book and the 2019 campaign will long stand as one to remember. In a captivating season-long battle, lepage71 edged Speedyman11 for the coveted series championship, the first such title that has ever been decided via tie-breaking criteria in the history of the league. That's right, both drivers finished tied in the point standings, right on the number (1872 to 1872). The closeness didn't end there, however. In two equally impressive sets of statistics, lepage and Speedy each led over 200 laps, cracked the 100-bonus-point milestone, and drove to six race victories, apiece. Individually, lepage also set a 12-race plus-minus record with an astounding +50, while Speedy tied his own existing Truck Series record with ten poles. In an early hot streak, lepage took control during the first half, claiming victory in five of the opening seven series races. Despite his initial deficit in the standings, Speedy then won four of the final five, bringing the final point margin into a tie. In a fitting, symbolic finale at Phoenix, the duo both ran out of fuel on the final lap, with Speedy having just enough momentum to coast around lepage for the victory. You couldn't write a more suitable script. Will we ever see another contest quite like the one in 2019? Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

League Announces 2019 NHRL Truck Series
Wednesday, November 14, 2018
lepage71 - A new year is approaching but the next season of racing will be starting before the old year is even in the books. That's right, it's time for trucks! The NASCAR Heat Racing League is delighted to release the schedule and open registrations for the 2019 NHRL Truck Series season. As anticipated, the trucks will remain on Friday nights at 9:00 PM ET, as was the case for every series during the 2018 season. However, unlike last year's timeline, the trucks will once again have a fall starting date this year. In all, the series will stretch from late November to early March, featuring 12 events across our customary diverse selection of courses. After a relatively short-track intensive schedule last year, the Truck Series will cycle around to a majority of higher-speed, steeper-banked venues this year. For this reason and more, the action will not fail to entertain. So don't delay another moment...visit the NHRL forum and sign up today! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Speedyman11 Takes Truck Series Victory
Monday, April 23, 2018
lepage71 - As we turn the corner towards spring, and given that the first series of the year is now complete, it has become unavoidably clear that the league is heading for yet another outstanding campaign. The 2018 NHRL Truck Series, to note, left little in doubt, providing a dazzling show of high-stakes drafting, clever strategies, and on-course drama. Amidst the action, Speedyman11 drove to an unprecedented third-straight Truck Series championship, piling up 9 wins, a perfect 12 top-5s, and with the aid of three short tracks on the schedule, a record 846 laps led under a 12-race format. In second-place, lepage71 had what in the past might have been a championship-caliber season, scoring two victories of his own and coming up just short in several showdowns with the titleholder. Rookiesrock, in third, earned a daring two-tire victory over both of them at Las Vegas, making it four years in a row with a Truck Series win. In fourth, BlackKnight tied his best-ever standings performance, contending on numerous occasions but falling to pitting issues. Impressing many, Jes Rathbun rounded out the top-5, his finest effort yet in the league. Also deserving mention is Bandit, who completed his first series in the league, demonstrating himself to be an ideal addition to the roster. On to the Cup Series! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Speedyman11 Claims Truck Title Convincingly
Sunday, March 5, 2017
lepage71 - Speedyman11 captured the 2016-17 NHRL Truck Series title using a very effective formula. From beginning to end, he consistently qualified well, ran near the front, and minimized his mistakes, particularly on pit road. The results would speak for themselves, as Speedy delivered a record-challenging effort, accompanied by a sparkling set of statistics. In total, he won 8 races and poles, finished in the top-5 in every event, and led more laps (551) than anyone else...combined. Yet despite the lofty numbers, the final outcome in the standings was sneakily close. Runner-up lepage71 made two trips of his own to victory lane and also equaled Speedy's perfect slate of top-5 finishes. In third place, ltfireman earned his first top-3 finish in the standings, as well as his first win in the league, holding off a five-truck group in a thrilling series finale at Talladega. Breeze, meanwhile, won a pole for the third straight series and matched his best finish of fourth. And ever-steady BlackKnight prevailed over Rookiesrock for fifth by a mere 3 points, trailing just Speedy and lepage with 9 top-5 finishes. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).
