2022 NHRL Busch Series Is Momentous
Sunday, September 4, 2022
lepage71 - The NHRL Busch Series and its beloved NBS mod are rolling back into town! The league is excited to post the schedule and open registrations for the much anticipated 2022 campaign. For the first time in years, the Busch Series will launch closer to autumn, taking place from September 10 to November 19 on Saturday nights at 8:30 ET. The schedule should be an efficient one as it includes a series-record three doubleheader races. Track-wise, Talladega and Watkins Glen debut in the 8-4-1 Title Chase, while Iowa also makes its first appearance in the postseason with the added distinction of hosting the championship finale. Yet that's not all. When it comes to storylines, given the recent narratives seen in the Cup and Truck series, we're expecting the drama in the 2022 iteration of Busch iteration to echo across the history of the league. It could be a notable series, too. As the league considers a transition from racing full-time with NASCAR Heat to adopting a potential iRacing structure this will NOT be the series to miss. So don't wait another moment. Sign up on the forum now! We anticipate a lively state of affairs out on the track. Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

NHRL Cup Series Coming to a Track Near You Soon!
Saturday, April 23, 2022
lepage71 - Prepare for thunder! Right on cue, as late spring and early summer approaches, the league is cycling back to the Cup Series and the NHRLC11 mod. You can already feel the warm weather season electricity in the air. The storylines and narratives surrounding the series are unlikely to disappoint. Just consider. Last year gave us an awesome championship finale showdown, one that was decided on the very final corner of the race! The schedule is one to behold too. The Cup cars make their debut on four different courses, including Dayton2, Roval OO, Chicagoland, and Memphis OO, which is also the actually the championship finale! Kansas Speedway returns for the first time in several years as well. The 2022 series contains our usual allotment of 12 Saturday races, along with a couple of doubleheader nights in the mix, all taking place from April 30 to July 23. Do we need to explain more here? You won't want to miss even a moment of the upcoming festivities. Visit the league forum to register for the series! We have a sneaking suspicion that this going to be a great one. 2022 NHRL Truck Series Starts This Week
Sunday, January 23, 2022
lepage71 - The league is excited to launch 2022 with a jam packed three-race weekend. Along with two Signature Events, the Shoortie Shootout and NHRL 24 @ DAYTONA, the NHRL Truck Series will also return to action this week. That's right, it's time for the NHRLTS mod! As expected, the series will remain on Saturday nights, a recent shift that began last year with the NHRL Busch Series. Therefore both NHRL and ARL will often race back-to-back on evenings. Overall, the Truck Series will stretch from January 29 to April 16, consisting of 12 races across our traditionally diverse rota of courses. The schedule includes a bunch of unique facets like Indianapolis RC, a return to the Sonoma 2012 version, and the first-ever 8-4-1 title finale at MP Pocono. The Trucks will also enter its second season with doubleheader races. We plan to host several such nights per series in 2022. As always, we anticipate plenty of interesting storylines. For this reason and more, the series won't be one to miss. So don't delay: visit the forum and sign up today! Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

League Hosting Fifth Annual NHRL 24 @ DAYTONA
Sunday, January 23, 2022
lepage71 - We're there! The league has sanctioned its ninth Signature Event and FIFTH annual NHRL 24 @ DAYTONA! After the unparalleled success of the previous four editions of the NHRL 24, we look forward to another tremendous exhibition as we head to Florida once again. The fifth edition will take place on January 29 at 10:00 PM ET and consist of 24 green-flag laps at Daytona RC in the SCGTS Mod. It will also kick off in conjunction with the first race of the 2022 NHRL Truck Series earlier in the evening at 8:30. A big change is in store as well. Drivers can now only pilot the GT1 or GT2 car classes as this year we'll exclude GT3; we'll commemorate the honorary winner from each group. The event will also include driver-led caution flags, in which the current leader of the race will become the pace lap leader upon the calling of a caution flag. And, as is the case with each Signature Event, drivers can upload a custom paint scheme for the race using their driver account on the website. For more about the event, please monitor the forum! 2022 Launches with Shortie Shootout!
Sunday, January 23, 2022
lepage71 - The 2022 season is about to start! The NASCAR Heat Racing League has announced its eighth Signature Event installment and fourth annual shootout lollapalooza. On Friday the 28th at 8:30 PM ET, the league will host the Shortie Shootout, modeled after our past Fall Festival and Winter Welcome races, featuring six short track races in one evening with the Vintage Modifieds mod. The Shortie Shootout will have a similar format to prior iterations of the event. Each shootout race will last 5-10 minutes, the first track in the rotation will have a random starting grid, and then each following round will have a reversal based on the previous results. Also like in past years, the 2022 event will simplify matters, using a single fixed setup for the whole night. The competition will likely therefore be tight which just means more drama and storylines! For more on the Shortie Shootout, be sure to monitor the league forum, where we'll be discussing further event details. Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

Ninth Annual Holiday Derby Coming To Town
Monday, December 20, 2021
lepage71 - A trademark of the NASCAR Heat Racing League is usually one of a widely-held respect for the league rules and traditions. Its membership maintains a delicate balance between fun and fair competition. But enough of such talk. On Thursday, December 23 at 10 PM ET, every notion of good sportsmanship will be abandoned totally, and replaced with what everyone REALLY wants to do during the holiday season. That's right, it's your favorite time of the year again! The league is highly honored to host its ninth annual Holiday Derby...the one and only league party where the word "bash" applies literally! On Thursday, a rabble of impish, child-like dummkopfs will rush to arms in the LCH mod at Bowman Gray in a hate-fest of greed, survival, and one-upsmanship. And, in the holiday spirit, the event is open to all, even if you have limited talent, provided you bring a foul attitude. As expected, anyone who can't handle the heat will slink under their moistened bed sheets and muddy up the mattress too. Skip this year's event and you'll be missing an opportunity to make NASCAR Heat history! Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

lepage71 Drives to Both Crowns in Busch Series
Tuesday, December 7, 2021
lepage71 - It had to happen sooner or later. For the first time since 2020, the same individual captured both of the championships in a series, as the 2021 NHRL Busch Series saw lepage71 claim both the Overall Standings and 8-4-1 Title Chase. The series was anything but domination by the champ however. In fact, four different drivers claimed a checkered flag: lepage (8), d3efan (1), CR49 (1), and Bandit (2). Morever, seven drivers led significant laps in races. And, in the playoff finale at Darlington, a three-way battle endured right to the end. It was yet another championship showdown as lepage, d3, and CR49 traded positions in the early going. All would also finish within 5 seconds of one another. Interestingly, the top four in the standings for each title were identical: 1) lepage, 2) d3, 3) CR49, and 4) Grumpy. It marked the second such instance of the quadfecta. The end of the Busch Series also closes the chapter on points racing for 2021. The Truck Series will likely storm back into action sometime early in 2022. Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

d3efan Surprises the World once Again in 8-4-1
Tuesday, December 7, 2021
lepage71 - The 2021 NHRL Cup series finale was one for the ages. Talk about a showdown! Entering the last race at Michigan, the Overall Standings had been reduced to a mere formality, on the strength of a strong season by lepage71 with 9 victories and a flawless 12-top-5 finishes. The one other driver to have won was d3efan (3 times) despite a series of close calls for CR49. The 8-4-1 Title Chase, however, was a far different tale. The Final Four of d3, lepage, CR49, and AirBender all entered Michigan with an equal chance. A slow car hampered AirBender, who was making his first such appearance, right from the green flag. And after leading early, CR fell behind following a slow pit stop, leaving lepage and d3 dueling for nearly the entire second half of the event. A big reversal happened in the final corner of the race, of all times, where a shot tire forced lepage up the track and handed d3 the title. It was the second 8-4-1 crown for d3 after a similar shocker last season in trucks. All in all: it was a suitable end to a stellar season. Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

League Shifts from Friday to Saturday Nights!
Thursday, July 22, 2021
lepage71 - Big changes are coming to the NASCAR Heat Racing League. In one sense however it's also a blast from the past. For the first time years, our core series will return to Saturdays, starting in August with the 2021 NHRL Busch Series. As a result, the league now shares the evening with ARL, making it easier for competitors to attend more races across both leagues. Please note that to support these changes our start times will shift from 9:00 PM ET to 8:30 PM ET. We're also pleased to release the schedule and open registrations for the Busch Series. As anticipated, drivers will turn again to the NBS mod, an annual fixture and long-held tradition in the series, and perhaps the most popular and competitive mod on the entire NHRL circuit. Most observers are expecting the panoply of dramatic narratives that went down in Cup to transition seamlessly right over to Busch. You won't want to miss the action. To participate in the series, please register soon on the forum! Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

Speedyman11, lepage71 Share Glory in Trucks
Saturday, July 17, 2021
lepage71 - We have another split title decision! In a dramatic and unpredictable 2021 NHRL Truck Series, Speedyman11 captured the Overall Championship with consistent swiftness, while lepage71 took the 8-4-1 Title Chase in a thrilling playoff finale and showdown with him at Dover Downs. Here was the breakdown. In the Overall Championship, Speedy claimed a series-topping 8 wins and 423 laps led, jumping to a big lead early. Meanwhile, lepage71 (2 victories), CR49 (1 victory), and Grumpy (8 top-5s) completed the top four. BlackKnight would come home a distant fifth. In the 8-4-1 Title Chase, the same four drivers comprised the Final Four, with the Grumpster making his first appearance in the coveted championship group. The decisive moment in the finale came early on when lepage avoided a spinning Speedy on the first green flag pit stop. He then cruised to an uncontested victory during rest of the way at Dover Downs. In the end, what a series! It's going to be a long 12 months of waiting until we all get another go-round with Trucks!
