Wow, that was some event last night. Thanks to all for coming.
The final ten laps or so had to have been the longest finishing laps of all time in an NHRL race. On a small, quarter-mile track, no less. Everyone was limping around everywhere. Bandit pulls off an upset victory in his very first NHRL event. The end of the race is definitely worth a review on the replay, it's quite interesting. Speedy had the lead with 10 to go, then we all ganged up on him, so BK had it for a moment, but couldn't drag it forward, so Kart took it for 3 laps, but his car was so demolished that Bandit managed to hobble his own damaged car around him on the last lap!
Here, you can see Bandit (blue #43) passing by a group of us as we swarmed on Speedy (purple #11) near the end.
