Ed, what operating system are u using? 1st thing...make sure that your firewall is not blocking it.There should be a listing of "Heat" in the exceptions area that is check marked. If your on a newer operating system make sure compatibility mode is set to win xp. You get there by right clicking the Nascar Heat. exe file, then selecting the compatibility tab at the top. If those 2 dont fix it,replace the Options.cfg file with one from a different mod.

Also, did u follow these guidelines below?
https://heatfinder.net/guides.php?windowspermissions

Also :Virtual Store Folders

When you do not install all files and run NASCAR Heat "As Administrator"
you can run into a problem that re-locates some of your game files to a "VirtualStore" folder.

Verify that no NASCAR Heat or Hasbro Interactive folder exist in the following directory on your computer.
%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore

Run Install Files As Administrator

Right Click on each install file and select (Run as Administrator)

Run NASCAR Heat As Administrator

Newer versions of Windows have enhanced security that will not allow NASCAR Heat to properly access its files.
The simplest method to solve this problem is to always run the game as the administrator.

1 - Locate and open your NASCAR Heat folder.

2 - Right click on NHeat.exe or NASCAR Heat.exe and select "Properties".

3 - Select the "Compatibility" tab.

4 - Click the "Change settings for all users" button.

5 - Place a check mark next to "Run this program as an administrator".

6 - Click on "Apply" and "OK" to save the changes.
(Users may need to confirm security authorizations through the process.)

I hope this helps you get it fixed :mrgreen

Thanks for posting these error logs.

This is a puzzling one. I can't recall seeing this kind of problem before. However, I spent some time researching possible ideas about its root cause. I haven't found much, but there are some interesting topics on Mod Squad where racers have posted similar error logs. Theories have ranged from track and ModLauncher issues to firewall and router settings.

Definitely also take a look what some of Breeze suggested already (above).

Here's a rundown of what I've found:

Controller causing online disconnection:

No explanation of a resolution to the problem but some error log similarities:

http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?t ... 33#msg9933
http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?t ... 7#msg15617

Some process of elimination ideas to try to help isolate whether it's the mod, ui.res, or any other specific game or mod files:
http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?t ... 7#msg17407
http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?t ... 5#msg17475

Editing of firewall settings and/or router port forwarding options might have solved the problem:
http://www.themodsquad.info/index.php?t ... 0#msg21030

Could it be track-specific or related to ModLauncher:

Also, does anyone know if the following segment from CKA's error log has any significance? And if so, what is it?

Obviously, these are the entries immediately above the "multiplayer suspended" warning. After that, we see the repeating "call-stack" lines. But I ask also because we can see similar entries in some of the Mod Squad posts. I don't know, we're just looking for some theories here.

Finally, CKA, has this problem occurred with any other tracks or mods? That would be interesting to know, as well. It might be worth trying to connect to the server in a different mod to see what happens and potentially whittle down the source of the problem.

I suspect you've encountered trouble already with different tracks but it's worth asking. :doubtful

I just ran across a post from Kartracer from awhile back getting same error ,whereas he had been running the ModLauncher2 in "Compatibility Mode" and found out that it was not necessary. So he changed it back and it fixed the problem . Worth a try if nothing else has worked. If you still havent fixed it by 7pm est time tonight,i'll be on NHRL Vent and/or in the server.we''ll get it fixed. :mrgreen
