For any of you who own a Fanatec wheel setup, here's how to setup your H shifter for Heat.
Open the .cfg text file in the program file of the game, select all text and copy to blank notepad. Save as original .cfg file to desktop. This is so you can copy and go back to original settings if things don't work.
Go into the .cfg file, and down to the [CONTROL] section. Scroll down to the line "four_speed no." Highlight this line, and all lines down to and including the line "free_shift no." hit backspace to delete these lines.
Now, copy the lines below, just as they are and paste into the blank open line you now have in the .cfg file.
Scroll up until you find the line "controller_id 0." If the number is not zero, change it to zero.
Hit "File," then "Save."
In game, be sure to select RS Shifter, and 4 Speed.
On your Fanatec shifter, gears 1 - 4 will be as they are on the shifter knob. Reverse will be in the gear 5 position.
