Picked up my new ride for this season earlier this afternoon, figured I'd post a few pictures for everyone.

The season is supposed to start the 22nd but I don't know if that will happen or not with how the weather has been this year. There are 39 races scheduled at 6 different tracks so plenty of racing regardless. I have some work to do to it first before it sees the track, mostly put the engine back in, add some safety upgrades, new dirt tires and setup. Car was last raced at Charlotte back in 08 according to the records they have of it.

These things are overpowered as it is, I think that might be in the overkill range haha. Now I wonder if I could find a way to stuff my spare 302 in there somehow...

Thanks Dave, I know I won't be making every single race but the way the point system is set up, you can miss races and still win the championship which is pretty cool.

Sadly I think we're going to leave it yellow this year (I don't like yellow) just for the fact that I'm sure somewhere along the line I'm going to bust up a fender or something while getting the hang of driving it. I plan on running 77 in this class unless someone else takes it before I do, if that happens I'll be 91.

Car is getting closer and closer to being ready, I'm looking at the end of April at the latest. Today was the first race of the season and also at my home track. It's probably best that the car was safely in the garage for this one, here's some of the carnage. The 07 actually went up and over the 18.

Status update:
Car is almost ready to go, going to get a setup put in it this week once I pick up some scales from a local sprint car team tomorrow and then it should be ready. Looking to make my debut this coming Friday at my home track with it. Hopefully there's no more rain because I'd rather take a car I'm unfamiliar with driving to a track that I am familiar with. I don't know if I'll worry with the camera in the car at first, probably won't be much worth watching out of me for a while at least until I get the car figured out. We'll see though.

Finally have an update for you. Ran my first race of the season this past Saturday, I pretty much ran by myself in the back just to get used to how the car handles and how it reacts. That was my best option considering my history of busting cars up the first time I run them. All went as well as could be expected, only trouble spot was when another car got real sideways in front of me while I was on the bottom with nowhere to go, so I ended up punting him around. No damage done to either of us. I don't have any video from the race (it would have been pretty boring anyway), but there were 4 different photographers that got some pictures so I posted them for you all.

Great shots, Justin!! Your doing it the right way riding around the track, and getting use to the car first, instead of tearing it up! Looking forward to hearing more news as the season continues!!
