I think I figured it out finally.....I was at 1.1e......installed the essentials next and it installed the mod launcher and the nocd and 1.80........I still have a few things I have to straighten out thou.
I still have both data and run folders.
the CTS mod won't launch....splash screen error
the mod launcher says invalid file when I double click it
the other 5 mods all work when I double click them(all 6 went into proper folder and created a desk top)
I see there's a modlaunh2...I wonder if I can install that one.

WOW....thanks so much for all your help..............MISSION
accomplished.......all installed on new Window7 computer where I have my G25
wheel.....installed the mods I mentioned and installed ModLauncher2 and all
works well.
There is one only issue with the data and run folder....I actually moved all
tracks to the run folder....there are some files still in the data folder
which I will leave there for now...I guess??.....Sure hope after all this
work I can get approved to race with everybody......There is quite a bit of
stuff to learn here....and again Thx.

Correct me ,someone, if I am wrong, but I believe ,after you installed the game using the Nascar Heat CD, you then run the "noCD patch " 1.0 next,
which does the following....
it renames the "Data" folder to "Run" and places the "binkw32.dll" and and the "drivers.dat" in that same "Run" folder
it then adds a "NHeat.exe" file , along with a "autorun.inf " file to the main NASCAR HEAT folder
automatically removing the Read Only Attributes from all files in the NASCAR Heat folder

also adds a "NoCD_NHeat.exe" shortcut icon on your Desktop
adding -noautoplay to shortcut target line to disable the Nascar Heat game intro
You can do all this stuff manually too,if need be.

The Custom Track Patch by Timerider also does this but includes the 1.80 patch as well (eliminates a step).
