When doing a paint like this (or any for that matter) I sure hope you the zmodeler installed. You don't know have much time that thing saves.

Another thing you can do pretty quickly is drive your car to the end of pit road at atlanta.... it's a good viewing spot. Then you just keep saving and converting your car to a tex. and whenever you click back into heat (which is paused where you parked), the car automatically updates. you can get it down to just a few quick mouse clicks and really streamline the process, to where it's literally just a couple seconds longer than the process for viewing it in zmod.

Looks good so far, btw.

Sorry Grove, but I didn't have the time it would have taken at the time. I dunno how much time bmx has put in on that car so far, but I bet it's between 12 and 18 hours. Looks nice so far, bmx.

Well I spent maybe 4 doing the first picturre (with research etc for hi res shots) and then the front bumper took maybe a half hour.

I'm sure all the detailed logo work will take a while, as I am going to get it as close as possible... and I still have to paint the other side differently due to the fact that this scheme isn't symetrical.

It's slowly getting there but won't be a bover paints ride for sure.

Any chance I can get the updated template (catchcan off? and maybe an updated gas cap?)

There are updated templates coming soon. Again! lol.

I am not sure if the previously updated templates I posted in this thread have the catch can hole (overflow) removed or not. It's very easy for you to remove though, Just do a retangular selection around the overflow and it's shadow, highlight the Parts layer (in the parts group), and click edit/clear, and then do the same with the shading layer under chevy parts. then the fuel overflow and it's shadow will be gone.

Here's the new dodge template...

If you'll notice in the distance, is the new "American Ethanol" fuel filler hole.

I got it at NNRacing's site http://www.nnracing.com/userupload/89C1 ... Add-on.zip

Another 2 hours into it and did the numbers, logos (redid hood),smoothing of colors on sides to get rid of chopiness.
edit: added ethanol and removed the catch can on template.

Good Job. I always thought that God-forsaken paint job was an eyesore, and you know what? It still is, LMAO! But you can definitely appreciate the work it took. (my 2¢... See if making the splitter black looks better)

Nice job!

My next 2¢....

Make the goodwrench Service plus logos on the sides bigger. I have bigger logos, or, an actual font (it's called badwrench, lol) that you could make it bigger with if need be. (remember, I've been painting both dan and grove goodwrench cars for years now).

Let me know if you need either of these. don't ruin all the work you did on the base with a crappy goodwrench logo. ;)
